Choosing a secondary school for your child is a very important decision. It is essential that you make a reasoned and informed judgment so as to ensure that your child has a happy and successful experience.
Teddington School, as a co-educational comprehensive school, mirrors society at large and as such we believe it is the most appropriate environment for children to learn and develop in. Our standards are high and it remains our aim to provide the best possible learning opportunities so as to enable every child to maximize their all-round abilities. Furthermore I hope that the culture, values and beliefs that we hold as a school, are ones which you believe are right for you and your child.
As a Head my views are traditional. I believe that a school should be a well ordered and disciplined community so as to ensure that the most effective teaching and learning takes place. Only when this state exists can children of all abilities and interests feel safe and happy, and free to learn and flourish. Equally, I believe that students should be smart in appearance, positive in their attitude, well motivated and courteous, and proud of their achievements – proud of their School.
We have an outstanding academic record, as well as considerable expertise in the arts and sport, with a flourishing programme of extra-curricular activities. Through our designation as a Special Visual Arts College we constantly bring-in new resources and opportunities so that our students are able to leave us after five years as well rounded, considerate and confident young adults.
Please take the time to look through the website, it endeavours to both inform and entertain. My weekly blog informs parents of the week’s events and activities and our diary for the following week. In addition, I am happy to be contacted via the school office should any prospective parent have any further questions or queries, and I will contact you personally.
