Arts College

Teddington School is a Visual Arts Specialist College.  At Teddington the visual arts play a vital role across the whole school curriculum allowing students to use their talents in many subject areas.

During visual arts lessons students are given the opportunity to develop their skills and interests in a variety of artistic mediums including:

  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • 3D work e.g. Ceramics & Jewellery
  • Graphic products
  • Textiles
  • Product design
  • Photography
  • ICT

The school also offers lunchtime, after-school and holiday-time art activities and clubs.  Professional artists and designers come in to the school regularly to work with students on community projects as part of our Artist in Residence programme.

This scheme helps students to appreciate how artists and designers influence many aspects of our everyday lives; from the products that we use, the clothes that we wear down to the seats that we sit on, as well as broadening their understanding of the working world.
