Homework enables children to build on their experience in school and to encourage their development as independent learners. Homework will vary in type and style and may include reading, research, topic work etc., Completion maybe handwritten/drawn, electronically produced on a computer or submitted directly via a VLE, (Virtual Learning Environment), such as Fronter. Your child will be given a homework diary and timetable at the beginning of each academic year. We ask parents to sign the diary each week. In Year 7 students will be given two to three subjects for homework each night and the time spent on this should be about one to one and half hours. This will increase as students move higher up the school.
