Included in our comprehensive pastoral care and support for students is first aid and medical care provided by our Welfare Assistants and qualified first aiders.

Student medical details will be requested from parents of new Year 7 pupils before they join in September and details of any chronic medical conditions will be recorded and an individual student care plan drawn up.

Should a student feel unwell during the school day, they should request permission from their class teacher to attend the School office.  Here they will be assessed by the Welfare Assistant and parents/carers contacted if necessary.

Should a student be injured during the school day, the Welfare Assistant will attend to them and organise  the appropriate treatment and contact parents/carers.

Our Welfare Assistants work closely with the pastoral team in School and the NHS School Nursing team, based in Teddington Clinic, Queens Road, with our attached School Nurse attending  School once a week for a walk in clinic.
