Teddington is committed to ensuring that every student matters and that every student is safe, happy and is making progress. Good discipline is key to this and at Teddington this is based on everyone having a shared understanding of the positive behaviours and relationships that are needed for students to learn well and get on with their peers and staff.

We are committed to developing students that exhibit initiative and leadership, so that they are able to make good decisions and take responsibility for their choices and actions.

The pastoral team provides day to day and longer term support for any student who is experiencing any kind of difficulty in and beyond school, and can access additional support and help from other services, as well as working closely with the school’s Learning Support Additional Needs Department. Our pastoral support system is designed to ensure that all barriers to a student’s continued wellbeing and progress are removed.

Pastoral care is taken very seriously at Teddington School. We believe that if a child is relaxed and happy in their school environment then they are far more likely to achieve their maximum all-round potential.
