Theme for the Week: Comic Relief Week

This Friday the 13th March 2009 is Red Nose Day!

Watch the video (follow the link) to see a short history of Red Nose Day   - about Red Nose Day

This is a UK-wide fundraising event organised by Comic Relief every 2 years. It's the biggest TV fundraising event in the UK calendar. On Red Nose Day everyone in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland is encouraged to cast inhibitions aside, put on a Red Nose, and do something a bit silly to raise money. It is an event that unites the entire nation in trying to make a difference to the lives of thousands of individuals facing terrible injustice or living in poverty.

Here at Teddington School we are holding a mufti –day (£1 to take part) and there will also be lots of other fund raising events. During the lunch hour there will be a catwalk fashion show organised by Mrs DeBrett. Lots of tutor groups are holding cakes sales and different competitions. More details will follow later in the week.

In the meantime talk to the rest of your class and see if you can come up with a money raising activity for Friday.
