Election of Chair and Vice Chair

Sarabpal was elected chair

Amy and Andrew were elected Vice Chair with Alex in the summer term when Y11 have left

Chair and vice chair to arrange next meeting and set the agenda

Jack Petchey

Charlotte Courtney was selected from the four nominations for the September Jack Petchey award ( congratulations Charlotte)

Award to be given in assembly

Mr McGrath/SLT

·      Explained the Student Council had the full support of SLT who are always willing to consider suggestions and issues raised
·      We are hoping to have another full day conference in the new year

 

Charities

·      Two Non Uniform day have been arranged for this week and Children in Need(20th November)
·      All classes are asked to discuss ways they could raise money for Children in Need. Ideas suggested at the meeting were;-teacher trail, throwing sponges, event in the sports hall, funny photos

All class reps to let Mrs Basset know what their class will be doing to raise money for Children in Need

Resource Centre

Mrs Bide is always willing to hear ideas about how to improve the Resource Centre.
CD s will now be available to buy in the RC

Class Reps Items

The Following issues were raised
·       Some girls would like to wear ties- could this be considered for the new school
·       House point system needed to be clearer and would like to see points score up on display
·       Could the lockers for the new school be bigger than current ones
·       Smoothies had become very expensive and could no longer be purchased on a school meal ticket
·       Y8/9 girls toilets request a bigger mirror
·       Complaints about toilets being smelly and locks not working and toilets not flushing
·       Y11 would not like to be excluded from the House play competition

If you have any opinions o these issues make sure your class rep feeds them back to the student council

 

  

Mr Morris asks that students report specific situations so that he can deal with them

Mr McGrath asked if students had any ideas for other events, competitions achievements that the House System could be used for.
